4/26/12 - VRV

We just wanted you to know we truly love our VRV. We could not have made a better purchase. We are really enjoying it. It tows really well with our Sprinter and not to mention the great diesel mileage we are getting. We are on our way to Kansas City and then a few more stops before we venture on to Alaska. On the road again and just enjoying VRV and life. Hope all is well with you and your family!

Thank you again for everything.

3/12/12 - QS10

We took a look at a 10.0 recently -- I couldn't get over how well-designed it is.  Been reading up on your company, and you really have found the niche (we fit the profile of the young family looking for an affordable, durable pop-up alternative). I was just saying to my wife last night that if you were a publicly traded company, I'd be buying stock today!!!

All the best,
Chuck
9/28/11 - QS 6.0

Dear Livinlite:
We’ve just returned from a three week trip to the Black Hills and points west, with our new Quicksilver trailer 6.0, purchased from Jerry’s Campers of Madison Wisconsin. We had a great time, and the Quicksilver was a great way to go.

Our little Pontiac Vibe with only a 1.8 liter engine pulled that trailer very well. I was worried that we would be risking an overheated engine, or would have to go so slow up the long grades, but those issues did not materialize, and we still had gas mileage of 28 to 30 miles per gallon. It is the perfect camping trailer for eco-conscious economy car types like ourselves.

Thanks for making a great product. We can’t wait for next summer, now!

FLEEING IRENE IN QUICKSILVER 8.1

We fled our home on the coast of the Chesapeake Bay even before the mandatory evacuation order came...because we had an 8.1 Quicksliver which we purchased less than a month ago. We took the cat, the Henkels chefs knifes, the important papers, 10 pairs of my shoes and headed for the hills of Virginia. Here we are at James River State Park, Virginia. The skies have cleared and the windows are open to fresh mountain breezes...notice the cat's eye. We don't know what faces us when we return home on Monday...but we are safe.

2012 QUICKSILVER 10.0

Thanks for the info on the colors for the 10.0. I purchased the Pewter which is almost an exact match for my Chevy Tahoe. They look great together !!!!! We just got back from a 10 day trip along the California and Oregon coasts and the trailer was truly a joy to have. We certainly haven't seen another Quicksilver out here in California and we had quite a few people at the campgrounds inquiring about it ( isn't free advertising great !). We have the set up time for the tent down to about 15 minutes. Our campground neighbors were amazed at how quickly we got set up.

I wanted to find out more info about purchasing the awning that zips on to the top of the tent. Do I need to go through my dealer ( who is a 3 hour drive away ) to order one? What about price? Thanks for any info and, thanks for a wonderful product !!

QUICKSILVER 8.0 GEAR STORAGE

We bought our 8.0 in June 2007 and have had many wonderful adventures in it. I store our camping supplies in the trailer year-round so all we have to pack is clothing, towels, and food. Bedding, including pillows, is stored in one dinette bench. The other bench holds flashlights, camp stove, card games, extra batteries, cast iron skillets, pie irons, closet organizers, etc. Kitchen needs are stored in three separate plastic bins under the sink. The storage area under the fold down kitchen is used for a gray water container (placed outside the trailer when in camp), small grill, charcoal, and fresh water container.

I use the closet organizers to store clothing and food items while in camp. Purchased them at QVC in 2007. I hang one in each bed area to hold clothing, towels, food, and personal items. They are designed to hang from a closet rod and hang very nicely from the bimini frame over the bed area. A small organizer hangs over the sink and holds dishwashing soap, scrubbers, dish towels, paper towels, and hand sanitizer.

Our port-a-potti stores on the floor and we leave enough space to stow our cooler through the door before we leave home.

QUALITY QUICK SILVER 10.0

We have a 2010 10.0 and have had only one issue with quality. The factory-installed 4-pin wiring harness that connects to the tow vehicle was too short. It didn't even extend past the end of the hitch. No way to connect to tow vehicle. Dealership crudely spliced in about another foot or so of wire to get me home. Once home I removed the dealer's wires and cleanly installed 18 inches of additional wiring. Other than that...no problems whatsoever.

Snaps breaking: Can happen with anything involving snaps and vinyl. You have to be careful when pulling on the snaps. Use fingers on each side of the snap or buy a small tool made specifically for undoing snaps. Amazon has them.

Zippers: We had to trim off a lot of extra threads hanging from the zippers, but the zippers are doing great otherwise.

Holes: Not a quality issue because the campers aren't coming from the factory with holes in the tents. It's usually happening based on how owners put everything away. You need to be extra careful about making sure no tent material gets caught between the bimini poles when folding everything in. It can be done. We do it every time we pack up. So far so good.

I would not hesitate buying a Livin Lite product. in fact, I recently talked a coworker into ordering one. He can't wait for it to come in. They are simple and well-built campers that should last as long as you need it to.

Some think they're pricy considering how spartan they are, but I look at it differently. They're made out of aluminum, which is not cheap. Nothing to rust, warp, or rot...ever. Extremely limited maintenance needed because the systems are so basic. I can go camping without worrying about something breaking. That's priceless for some folks. Having owned previous rvs with high tech and complex systems there's always that nagging feeling that something will malfunction. Not with Livin Lite.

CL8.5 TRUCK CAMPER

Thanks again for your candor about this fine product leading up to my purchase of our wonderful 8.5 Truck Camper. The unit is well conceived and constructed, and is a tremendous value for it's capabilities. It's design is elegantly functional, light weight, durable and well thought out. One example of this is the removable range, which is vastly more useful as one can use it on a picnic table at a campsite, and avoid scenting the interior of the camper. (This is a tremendous advantage in grizzly bear country, and who ventures out to stay inside?)

The 8.5 is like climbing into an airliner suite, if they made such a thing. It is so very different from the products offered by your competitors. I am so glad we did not opt for a pop-up at comparable weight, when the 8.5 was available for just a few thousand dollars more. You get what you pay for, and we are VERY pleased.

I've just returned from her maiden voyage down the Salmon River and into the heart of central Idaho, and the camper was just a joy. Though not for everybody, I have had not one moment of regret regarding my purchase, which will open up so many adventures for us in the future. Good work.

QUICKSILVER 6.0

Hi guys, well after three weeks all over the Colorado rockies and Utah the camper worked out wonderfully. Pouring rain, hail, cold and heat...we were pretty comfortable. I may have sold a dozen of these campers for you guys. In both states it was a non stop show; the folks in the campground all came over to check it out. Most were amazed how our small car pulled it. My biggest surprise is how much space is in the camper...I really was expecting something smaller.  Scott, just a suggestion, maybe a photo of a couple in the camper in your gallery could better give potential buyers some scale. Anyways, We are happy with it!

CL16BHB

We last week purchased our camp lite (quick silver)  CL16BHB (bunk bed). Love it. Seriously. Purchased in Edmonton at Carefree Coach & RV.  We own a VW Tiguan (cross over sport utility car) and pulled it with ease through the rocky mountains in Canada. All through them. Edmonton AB  to Kelowna BC and back.

All I can say, for the first camper our family of 3 has bought and used, this is a fantastic new way of life out side of work. Looking forward to many trips coming up.

Thank you for your time.

CL13BH Camping Report

"Been on the road allot in the past few weeks. Newport, Florence, Pacific City, Seaside (all on the Oregon coast) also Long beach WA. Had some rain and wind a few nights and some very nice weather. Towed very well behind my 2006 Jeep Wrangler Sport, zero sway tracked nice no issues (did get all the way down into 3rd gear going over Cascade head at 40 mph but mostly in 4th and 5th gear average speed 45-50 mph, lots of winding roads if you have ever driven Hwy 101 on the Oregon coast you will know what I am talking about. No leaks, no squeaks no issues other then the electric frig froze the water I put in it??  I will have to pull it out and see if there is an adjustment, but I use a ice cooler anyway. Tons of storage only used the storage under the bunk and the many cabinets all the storage under the seating area remained empty. Had a blast very happy with my choice and over all purchase. Would buy again. Quality, fit and finish is outstanding I don't have a single complaint. Leaving for Florence again in the morn for a few days then over to Bend Oregon for some fishing. I could live the whole summer in this trailer. Look for me in the "Lite House" on the Oregon Coast,"

Happy travels!!

" Dear LivinLite,

I wanted to take a couple of minutes to say "Thank You" for building the CampLite 8.5 Truck Camper. It's about time someone in the RV industry finally built a strong Hard Sided all Aluminum Truck Camper for 1/2 ton trucks. It seems like everyone in the industry is either building lame popup truck campers or huge hard sided truck campers that you need a $50,000.00 truck to haul it around on. I am so glad you guys decided to build an affordable all aluminum light weight camper for 1/2 ton trucks. As soon as my wife and I pay our Honda Gold Wing off we plan on buying a LivinLite CampLite 8.5 Truck Camper.

Keep up the great work guys, I can already see you guys going far in the RV industry !!"

Respectfully

"I bought my Quicksilver10.0 in May of 2010. Camped 4 times last summer. Planning to camp in PA and Maine this summer. Can't wait. I pulled this with a Chrysler T&C and only lost 1 miles to the gallon."

“Scott, thanks for all your info. We ended up getting that 8.5x16 VRV model that I initially asked about. We took our 3 quads to test fit and they fit in the trailer nicely. Also, the aluminum flooring makes it nice for sliding quads sideways. Other toy haulers we looked at had a textured floor similar to bed liner and that surface makes turning quads sideways in a trailer a pain. Your VRV with it's aluminum flooring makes it good for turning quads sideways which allows a smaller trailer. I wanted the smallest/lightest trailer I could get all three quads in and the VRV is it!”

I bought a TC1 for my Toyota T100 a few months back from a Sacramento dealer and finally found the time to use it. The pictures are from the Mojave Desert, I love this camper, everything about it is great and the build quality is excellent!

My Quicksilver has been with me for almost a year. I looked for a small, easy-to-tow camper for about two years before coming across LivinLite and Quicksilver. I purchased a 5.0 from Prosser RV in Milwaukee, and it saw much use last summer. My Yellow Lab, Ollie, and I use it for up to week long camping trips for the two of us. What a pleasure! From being able to easily push it around the driveway and campsite, to being a breeze to tow, and a very easy camper to set up and take down, my Quicksilver makes camping quick, easy and comfortable. I pull it with a passenger car and get about 20 mpg on freeways. Wherever I camp, be it at a bluegrass festival (three last summer) or a Minnesota State Park, it never fails to attract a lot of interest. People are amazed at so much comfort in such a small package. Thank you for such a well made camper that is comfortable, so easy to pull and use, and so well designed and built. Here are a couple of photos of my Quicksilver the Southeast Minnesota Bluegrass Association festival in May 2009, and at St. Croix State Park in Minnesota in June 2009.

You really have such a great product. I've been scouring the internet for months in search of something my SUV with a tiny 4-cylinder engine can tow. All of the pop-ups are too heavy as the GVWR I can tow is 1500 lbs. I couldn't believe you actually had multiple models for me to choose from! The other options in the same weight class as your Quicksilver are just simply tents on wheels. Your model has the better material, has the heat and AC options... it has much more to offer, at a lower price. Keep up the great work.
Lindsey (MN)

We LOVE our Quicksilver! We originally went to look at the 8.0 but the 10.0 was set up at the dealership. We were amazed at how roomy it is (I said we didn't need one that big! but who can argue with two queen-size beds. . .). We can set it up and take it down in no time flat. There is SO much storage in it, too. We like the fact that we don't have all the cooking and bathroom things to deal with inside the camper, but because we still like our creature comforts, we had the air conditioner installed, bought a Coleman portable refrigerator, a small microwave and hit the road. We don't have to worry about winterizing a thing except to put in some cedar and closet dehumidifiers, and in the spring it is fresh and ready to go. When we camp, we get more attention than you would believe - we could charge for tours - and everyone wants to know how we can get set up so quickly. And the views are wonderful - 360 degrees of fresh air and beautiful views. With the light weight, we can tow it with either our Jeep Wrangler or Honda Element. This is our first tent camper, and I think we will have it for a very long time.

My family spent its younger years camping as often as weather would provide (nearly every weekend). We owned a conventional Pop-Up that slept 8, was very weighty, and heavy to setup and take down. We experienced having to replace several damaged and worn braces and panels over a 6+ year period. I have experienced the Quicksilver first-hand and can tell you, it is built extremely well, easy to setup & take down, is so light-weight anyone can move it around by hand, and can be pulled with virtually ANY vehicle. I give you a "HIGH-5" for building an extremely nice and affordable alternative.
Paul D.

We bought ours in March this year. Love it. Everything they say is true. We pull with a Honda CRV and have used it most weekends since. No problems whatsoever and my 2 kids love it.

I have been extremely enthusiastic about your trailers since the first time I found your website. I have also been very impressed by the time you have taken to work with me. Although I never expected my picture of my Tucson and my 10.0 to be shown on two websites, I am very proud that it has shown up there. I hope that the picture stands alone as testimony to my enthusiasm. I further hope that the picture will be instrumental in aiding in the sales of more trailers.

Hi!  I have a 2006 Livin Lite Quicksilver 10.0 The camper is the best thing that's ever happened!!  We love it and our camper is up and ready to camp WAY before our neighbors.  People are always coming over and asking to check it out because it's so different.  I love the floor and cushions because we have kids and a dog and we can clean up SUPER fast. And my husband thought I'd camp in a tent... he's crazy!
Yvonne H.

I bought a Quicksilver last year because it was lightweight, easy to tow, and a minimal camper experience... which was perfect for me. Had I not seen something like this... I wonder where I would be??
5 kids, 2 shepherds, 1 cat, 1 bird, 1 hubby & a Quicksilver 10.0 to make life complete!

As a side note, we absolutely LOVE our camper and get so many inquiries about it every time we take it out.  I'm not sure what attracts more attention - the camper itself or the fact that we tow with our Subaru.  We're relatively new at camper camping and seasoned campers we have run into are continually impressed with the lightweight aluminum frame and shell.  We had no idea of all the benefits of our Quicksilver when we bought it (we needed something light to tow with the car) but now we are seeing just how long we're going to be in this with very little maintenance compared to other campers.  We love the natural light and open, airy feeling inside our camper.  You've got yourself a great product.
 Courtney S.

I Just sent you a picture of my Quicksilver!   My picture was taken at St-Fabien of Rimouski, May 24,  2008.  I’m very happy with my Quicksilver
Jluc T.

First of all, let me say we love our Quicksilver.   We have had it 2 years and are heading out soon for another week long adventure in it.  It provides us with everything we need in a camping experience – and the upkeep on it is zero!   Thank you LIVIN LITE for making camping available to car owners such as us.
Harry L.

We are the proud and excited owners of a new 2011 Quicksilver 8.0. It is just perfect for myself, my wife, and our 4-year-old daughter (and occasionally our two Yorkies, though they tend to hog the beds!)

Attached is a photo of our Quicksilver being towed home after purchase by our family hauler, a 2007 Mazdaspeed 3.
We think the Quicksilver and the Mazdaspeed were made for each other!
Thanks for a unique and quality product.
Brady and Kristi H

We took our new Quicksilver camping for first time this weekend. Severe thunderstorms developed dumping over 2 inches of torrential rain in 2 hours. Very impressed as our camper did not have even the tiniest of leak and weathered the storm wonderfully. That says a lot since we are the biggest chickens in the midwest when it comes to severe weather.

Great work, Scott!
